Boys decorating session and beer

Hi again.  To anyone who fancies decorating (the stripping joke has already grown a little thin - thin as a strippers outfit) on Friday - feel free to come over from 7pm on.   Will just be preparing surfaces by sanding, stripping paint etc....  Plan to get out for a beer a little later

hello everyone, just to let you all know we sold our house - to the first viewers and at the asking price!!!  Just as well because I was running out of places to put all our stuff ( hope they didn't look in the oven or washing machine or laundry basket as they were crammed with life's odds and ends!)

So Praise God for that but we'd love you all to pray for wisdom in the next step; we've put in an offer on the house we like in olivers battery which she hasn't accepted, frustrating because our buyers have already sold and moved out and this house has been on the market since october and had  2 other offers fall through.  We can't go any higher so it's hard to know what to do and there is not much around.  There is a "project" bungalow also in ollie b but we're not sure we're up to it!  Anyhow it would be great if you could pray for wisdom to make right choices...........or that they'll accept our offer!

I like it!! Another way for us all to keep in contact...so I thought I would sign up and here I am!
I thought the eggs and bacon thing was a good analogy to what we had been talking about on weds. It's definitely something I need to think about and I guess a challenge to us all.

Half term doesn't mean don't meet!

Ooh! Community Group blog- I like! Just because it's half term next week it doesn't mean that we don't have to stop meeting. Ring each other and see if you can meet informally, go for a pint, meet up to pray, do some sport, go climbing or whatever! Kate and I are away in Dorset all week but do give us a call if you'd like!

I felt really challenged this week by the discussion around work and priorities and generally how the world leads us in giving so much to 'work', and as we then find it difficult to give to one-another in the church. I really want to live a life which is rich and filled with Spirit - and actively makes decisions to go his way and not the worlds - so all the provocation and challenge was welcome.
